Picture special: Schoolchildren solve river crossing puzzle
The Rotary Club of Aylesbury Hundreds held the annual contest at Aylesbury College on Monday.
Sixty-eight students from four Aylesbury High, The Grange, Cottesloe School in Wing and the Sir Thomas Fremantle School in Winslow took part in the all-day event in the college’s sports hall and refectory.

Three awards were handed out across the age groups. The High won the award for the youngest pupils and Cottesloe won both the intermediate and advanced awards, handed out to the older children.
Roger King, communications officer for the Rotary Club of Aylesbury Hundreds said: “The kids really enjoyed getting stuck in to the task and they didn’t mind if they lost, it was all about having fun.”
“All the teams finished the task but they couldn’t all make their containers travel across the river.

“I would also like to thank the rotary clubs of Winslow and Haddenham and District for their support.”
